Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)

Ontario is Canada's most populous province and offers excellent opportunities for skilled workers, international students, and entrepreneurs. The OINP provides multiple pathways to permanent residency.

OINP Streams

Human Capital Priorities Stream

For Express Entry candidates with strong human capital factors. Requires CRS score of 400+ and CLB 7 in English or French.

French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream

For French-speaking candidates with CLB 7 in French and CLB 6 in English. Must have Express Entry profile.

Skilled Trades Stream

For candidates with work experience in skilled trades. Requires CLB 5 in English or French and valid work permit.

International Student Streams

For international graduates from Ontario universities and colleges. Includes Masters and PhD Graduate streams.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Valid Express Entry profile (for most streams)
  • Minimum CLB 5-7 in English or French (varies by stream)
  • Relevant work experience in eligible occupation
  • Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)
  • Settlement funds proof
  • Intention to live in Ontario

CRS Benefits

Receiving a nomination from Ontario adds 600 points to your Express Entry CRS score, significantly increasing your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.

Processing Time

OINP processing typically takes 60-90 days. After nomination, federal PR application processing takes an additional 6-8 months.
